You have prepared for this day for years. Some days haven’t been easy and others have been a breeze.
Today you find urself in transition. In a state of unknowing, uncertainty and maybe some fear because you are not to sure of what this transition will look like, feel like or sound like. But I am excited that you are here. This is your time. you are going through a change. You are in the process of transforming yourself to your best self and claiming your greatness.
The truth is, this state of mind is giving you the opportunity to dig deeper, think better, and dream bigger. It’s giving you the courage and strength for self discovery and faith. It is giving you permission to define and create the life you want to experience.
It is asking you to let go of your fear and trust ur inner self. Because It’s you and not life, not yo momma, not your friends, not your boyfriend or girlfriend and believe me, not even your mentors or ur daddy. It is you. You dictate the impact your greatness will have; not just in the world or with the people who you love, but within you.
You decide….You decide how far you want to go.
So today, I urge and remind you to stand proud in your greatness and wear your crown. Be the king and the queen you are meant to be.
“ If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward”
Martin Luther King Jr.
We all have a reason to be in this world. We’re not only alive to live our lives but to leave a legacy, a little something of us in everyone we share our space with. Nothing is a mistake.
We supposed to see everything we’ve seen. We’ve done all we needed to do. We learned everything we needed to learn. We’ve loved everyone we supposed to love. And when we’ve lived all we supposed to live, it is not a time to mourn. It’s time to thank God for allowing us to share ourselves with everyone that mattered, every one we supposed to meet.
Don’t cry nor be sad for the loss. Be grateful, for what you’ve learned and the opportunity you had to share your existence. It was all worth it: the pain and the growth. Remember them, the smiles, the friendships, respect, all the good and the bad.
Make a conscious decision to use your experience to move forward by being better to yourself and the people you choose to give part of you. Recognize and acknowledge your evolution, as it has given you strength and a true defined sense of self.
Thank you for loving me as much as you do. I am grateful for all the love, peace and growth I have experienced with you and for being able to love you even when we’re apart. Your peace and happiness is important to me. God knows, I would like to be near you, feel your arms around me, hear your voice; but I understand that’s not possible now. I love you, so go, take care of yourself, find your happy place.
